Piping is a type of embellishment or trim consisting of a strip of folded fabric so as to form a pipe. A piped cuff is a type of cuff mostly found on sleeves and pants and is generally made by inserting a rope or cord into a folded fabric or bias tape and then sewing it to the garment in a way that positions the cord on the right side of the fabric. This created a neat and clean raised or decorative border at the end of the sleeve.
