Envelope Neckline

This style of neckline overlaps at the shoulders. Since this neckline opens up big and nice, they make wearing easier. Since its convenient to get on and off they are much preferred on baby bodysuits, gowns and onesies.

Scallaped Neckline

This neckline consists of series of convex curves to any basic neckline that looks like the edge of a scallop shell when repeated.

Sweetheart Neckline

The name sweetheart is due to the resemblance of the curves of the neckline with the upper half of heart shape. Its decolletage (a low neckline) and showcases collar bones. It looks well on all bust sizes. This style is popular with crop tops, dresses, Kurtis etc.

Drawstring Neckline

Drawstring neckline composes string or cord which is used to gather or shorten fabric and the ends can be tied together to hold the drawstring in place. The drawstring is loose when not in use and tightened as needed during use. Often seen in sweatshirts and tops with hoodies.

Backstitch

Backstitch creates an unbroken line of stitch and requires more thread and time to sew as one stitch is done at a time. It is done by taking a step backward and the moving forward hence the name backstitch. This stitch is useful when one wants to make the fabric reversible.

Bring the needle up at A then go back down at B.

Come back up at C and go back down at B. Continue the pattern till the end of the row.

Square Neckline

The neckline with the shape of bottom half of a square that is the bottom edges meet the side edges at right angles.
