Cross stitch is also known as Berlin stitch, Sampler stitch, X-stitch, Point de Marque. It is an easy stitch used on lettering, geometric designs, charted patterns etc. Traditionally the Cross stitch is accomplished in a single pass.
Bring the needle up at 'a' go back down at 'b'. Come up at 'c' go back down at 'd'. (working left-to-right). Come back up at 'e' and continue the pattern till the end of the row.
