Cowl Neckline

This neckline consists of loosely draped fabric (rounded folds) around the collar bone. This type of neckline is often seen in knit tops, sweaters and dresses. Variations of the cowl neckline includes high cowl, wide cowl and cowl inset.

Inset Neckline

Inset means a thing that is put in or inserted so this is a neckline with a decorative inset. A lace inset gives a delicate and romantic look to the neckline.

Horse shoe Neckline

 It's a stylish neckline as the name that is shaped like a horseshoe in front.

Keyhole Neckline

 It is an attractive neckline that has a central cutaway in the shape of keyhole just below the collar bone. Sometimes it also placed on one side rather than the center of the neckline. It looks beautiful and embellishes any garment. 

Sewing Area

 For successful sewing, a well-organized working area is very important.

• Basic requirements include space, light and access to electric points. 
• The cutting table should be at your elbow level for most comfortable working.
• Foldable ironing board for ironing fabrics and saving space.
• Heavy non steam iron box is useful for heavy fabrics whereas a steam iron is best for pressing darts and seams.
• A full-length mirror for analyzing your finished product.
• Having a waste bin to keep the working area tidy.
• A straight-backed chair for comfortable sitting.
• If the space is limited a well-organized planning will create room for everything. Also, the day-to-day things must be within reach to save effort and time to reach it.
• Protect fabrics from direct sunlight which may fade them and also avoid sewing in damp condition as it may rust the tools and cause fabrics to mildew (fungal growth).

V Neckline

A neckline with a V shape in front or that resembles the shape of the letter V. It is suitable for people with wide shoulders and also for shorter necks as it directs to the center of the body.

Another version of V neckline which is trendy is called Round V

Sabrina/Boat Neck

A boat neckline is also called a bateau or Sabrina neckline. It is a wide neckline that runs to shoulder points across the collar bone. Suitable for small chest and can be paired with sleeves or sleeveless style. This neckline is widely used for bridal gowns, evening dress, sweaters etc. as it complements the collar bone.
